Polyurethane cold storage board-PU cold storage board

  Polyurethane cold storage board (PU cold storage board) uses polyurethane as the inner material of the cold storage board. The advantage of polyurethane is that the thermal insulation performance is very good. The exterior of the polyurethane cold storage board is composed of color steel plate and stainless steel plate components. The advantage of this is to prevent the cold storage board from causing temperature transmission due to the large temperature difference between the inside and the outside, so that the cold storage is more energy-saving, and can have the same insulation effect as a refrigerator, reducing power consumption and improving refrigeration efficiency.

  Features of polyurethane cold storage board:

  1. Rigid polyurethane has low thermal conductivity and good thermal performance. When the density of rigid polyurethane is 35~40kg/m3, the thermal conductivity is only 0.018g~0.023w/(m.k), which is about half of EPS and has the lowest thermal conductivity among all insulation materials.

  2. Polyurethane cold storage board has moisture-proof and waterproof properties. The closed-pore rate of rigid polyurethane is above 90%, which is a hydrophobic material. It will not increase the thermal conductivity due to moisture absorption, and the wall will not seep water.

  3. Polyurethane cold storage board is fireproof, flame retardant and high temperature resistant. After adding flame retardant, polyurethane is a flame-retardant self-extinguishing material. Its softening point can reach above 250 degrees Celsius, and it will only decompose at higher temperatures: In addition, polyurethane will form ash on its foam surface when burning, and this layer of ash helps to isolate the foam below. It can effectively prevent the spread of fire. Moreover, polyurethane does not produce harmful gases at high temperatures.

  4. Because polyurethane sheets have excellent thermal insulation properties, the thickness of the building’s external enclosure structure can be reduced while meeting the same insulation requirements, thereby increasing the indoor use area.

  5. The porosity structure of polyurethane materials is stable, and it is basically a closed-cell structure. It not only has excellent thermal insulation properties, but also has good freeze-thaw resistance and sound absorption. The average life of rigid foam polyurethane insulation structures can reach more than 30 years under normal use and maintenance conditions. It can be achieved under normal use conditions during the life of the structure, in dry, wet or electrochemical corrosion, and due to insects, fungi or algae. The unit price of foam materials is higher than that of other traditional insulation materials, but the increased cost will be offset by the significant reduction in heating and cooling costs.

  Polyurethane cold storage panels have become the preferred material for mid-to-high-end cold storage construction due to their excellent thermal insulation performance, high strength and long life. When selecting, it is necessary to combine temperature requirements, environmental conditions (humidity/corrosiveness) and fire protection requirements to select the appropriate thickness and panel type. Its energy-saving effect and durability can significantly reduce long-term operating costs.
