Citrus cold storage preservation temperature, citrus cold storage storage method introduction

The citrus cold storage preservation temperature range is between 6-7℃, and the relative humidity in the storage is maintained at 90%-95%. Lemons can be stored in cold storage for about 7-9 months, sweet oranges can be kept fresh for about 3-6 months, and oranges can be kept fresh for about 1-3 months. Citrus can extend its shelf life in cold storage, but the lower the temperature, the better. Too low temperature will cause chilling damage, and too high temperature will accelerate the decay of citrus. In order to achieve the ideal storage effect, it is necessary to take precautions such as harvesting, selecting, grading, and pre-cooling of citrus.

  1. Citrus harvesting. Citrus is generally harvested when it is 7-8 mature. When picking, handle it gently to reduce mechanical damage, avoid picking in rainy weather, and grade it after picking, or grade it according to the requirements of the buyer.

  2. Precooling of citrus: After grading, citrus should be packaged and precooled. The temperature of the precooling warehouse is 6℃-8℃ and the relative humidity is 75%. Use 0.01mm-0.015mm thick polyethylene film bags or cellophane single fruit packaging. Corrugated boxes, calcium plastic boxes and plastic boxes are commonly used for outer packaging.

  3. Storage of citrus: After precooling, citrus can be transferred to fresh-keeping cold storage or atmosphere-controlled cold storage for storage. There should be vents on the cartons, reasonable stacking, and sufficient ventilation space. During storage, pay attention to avoid excessive fluctuations in temperature and humidity, check the storage conditions regularly, and remove any rotten or deteriorated fruits in time and sell them at the right time.
